What Nix is intended to do
Nix is intended to support children's curiosity, learning exploration, and family communication. The product direction includes age-aware explanations, child-friendly reflection, and parent-facing summaries that help adults understand learning moments without exposing unnecessary private details.
What Nix does not replace
- Nix does not replace parents, guardians, caregivers, teachers, schools, or human support networks.
- Nix does not replace doctors, therapists, mental health professionals, educational evaluators, lawyers, financial advisors, or emergency services.
- Nix should not be treated as a secret keeper, crisis handler, only trusted source, or always-available emotional support relationship.
Important limitations
AI systems can produce incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate information. Users should combine AI outputs with common sense, reliable sources, and help from trusted adults or qualified professionals. Health, safety, self-harm, mental health crisis, abuse, legal, financial, or emergency concerns should be handled through appropriate human and professional channels.
Family-oriented design
Nix is being designed around age-appropriate communication, guardian awareness, data minimization, and cautious parent-facing summaries. Product scope, controls, privacy practices, supported regions, and formal user rights will be described in the product documents published for testing or launch.
